What is Endolift?

Endolift® is an innovative new minimally invasive laser procedure that boosts skin restructuring and reduces cutaneous laxity. The treatment remodels the entire face: corrects mild sagging of the skin and fat accumulations on the lower third of the face (double chin, cheeks, mouth, jaw line) and neck as well as for correcting the skin laxity of the lower eyelid. As well as the face and neck the treatment can also be used for areas of the body including gluteus, knees, periumbilical area, inner thigh and ankles.

Quick, safe, long lasting results

The treatment offers the benefits of a surgical facelift but with no scalpels and no scarring. Endolift® is the result of advanced technological and medical research focused on how to get the results of a surgical lifting procedure but avoiding the downsides associated with traditional surgery such as longer recovery time, a higher rate of surgical issues and invariably higher prices.

How does Endolift work?

The Endolift® treatment is interstitial and works through specific single-use micro optical fibres, as thin as hair, which are easily inserted under the skin into the superficial hypodermis. Then laser-induced selective heat melts the fat, which spills from the microscopic entry holes in the treated area. This simultaneously causes immediate skin retraction and the reduction of skin laxity thanks to the activation of neo-collagenesis and of metabolic functions in the extra cellular matrix. The skin tightening created by Endolift® is strictly linked to the selectivity of the laser beam used, that is, to the specific interaction of the laser light which selectively hits two of the main targets of the human body: water and fat

The procedure is mininmally invasive and does not require any incisions and to reduce any possible pain we suggest the patient has some local anesthesia for the procedure. Little recovery time is required, and it is possible to return to normal activities and to job within a few hours, although some slight swelling and bruising is possible.

Results are not only immediate and long-term, and continue to improve for several months following the procedure, as additional collagen builds in the deep layers of the skin. As with all procedures in aesthetic medicine, the response and the duration of the effect depends on each patient and, if the doctor deems it necessary, ENDOLIFT® can be repeated with no collateral effects or combined with other non-surgical energy based treatments for optimal results.

Where can Endolift be used?

Endolift can be used for body contouring, skin contracting and fat reduction in the typical areas with excess skin and fat in the face including the double chin, jowls and neck. Endolift can also be used to create cheek contour and brow lifting.

How is Endolift performed?

The time taken for the Endolift procedure will depend upon the size of the area and indication being treated, but will generally take between 30 minutes and 90 minutes. Only one Endolift procedure is usually needed, although some people may require a second procedure to get the best result.

How long do Endolift results last?

Results from a Endolift procedure should be considered permanent. However this will only be the case if you continue to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle following treatment. Endolift does not prevent future weight gain. Furthermore, the ageing process does not stop and you will still expect to see the normal ageing changes with time.

What to expect after Endolift surgery

Potential side effects from a Endolift procedure include: swelling and uneven skin for approximately two to three weeks following treatment, some minor bruising and swelling and some minor redness and sensitivity in the area which can generally be controlled using over the counter pain medication and will typically disappear within a day or two.

You may experience soreness and tenderness immediately post-procedure, but will usually be able to leave the clinic within a few hours following treatment, provided that you have tolerated the anaesthetic well. You will normally still need assistance in getting home from a friend or family member as driving will not be possible and walking may be uncomfortable.

Are there any contraindications to Endolift?

As long as you are generally healthy and don’t have any skin diseases or infections in the area treated, there are few medical reasons why you should not undergo this treatment. However, some people will not be suitable for treatment, including pregnant and breastfeeding women, certain conditions, including auto-immune disease, skin diseases and skin infections and a known intolerance to the local anaesthetics used during treatment
